nice thread man...ive been workin with vdj for a while now...but theres one thing i could never figure out how to do heres a example of what i am wanting to learn how to do watts break.mp3 - 0.64MB

what it pretty much is its a break that watts and alotta other djs use...
i would really appreciate if you could help me out with this...thanks

i think u only get breaks that sound like that when you're using real turntables

i think ive heard cpu djs do it before well not the same but similar

watts doesn't use turntables. That's an effect on the CDJs that he has. If you want to do that on vdj then you'd probably have to find a plug in that do'll it for you.

CDJs, turntables......kinda the same shyt. except one is CDs and one is wax

but we're talking about brakes here. When you turn off a turntable when the record is playing you get that braking noise of the record stopping. CDJs are digital, if you switch it off it just turns off, no braking sound. There's certain things you can do on wax that you can't do on CDJs and vice versa.

well on the CDJs that i were fuccin wit @ Sam Ash....they broke jus like real turntables....those are the high quality ones.

if u have the vdj with all the plugins and skin pack like the 1 i posted on here....u can use the beat break plugin and adjust it to get the sound of the break u are looking for

Virtual DJ help

anyone have a shortcut or know how to maybe countdown to help chop something without a second soundcard. I've been using cooledit to help me (by recording a minute of the song and then the whole song) but as an analog dj... I'd like to start a track... maybe count to 5 and then start the second - so the chops come out correct.

How do others do this???

u can always use the record function ....but u gonna have to be mindful of where u wanna end the track yourself

just make sure its on "wave out mix" and it will record sounds from the computer
